Velonics is an engineering company. We design the PCB, write the firmware, run the cloud, and ship the operator app — top to bottom — so the systems we deploy stay accountable to the people who depend on them.
Velonics began with a single broken tank monitor on a residential rooftop in Coimbatore. The off-the-shelf controller had failed, the homeowner had no visibility, and the only fix was a hand-installed micro-controller paired with a custom dashboard. That fix became three. Three became thirty. Today the same hardware family runs water, power, and presence telemetry across 1,240+ field nodes — managed from a single PWA, on the same firmware contract.
The hardware market is saturated with plastic. The platform market is saturated with dashboards. The gap is in between — devices that survive a thunderstorm, firmware that never bricks, and an operator surface that respects the engineer’s time. Velonics works in that gap. Industrial IoT silicon. MQTT/TLS transport. PWA front-end. No proprietary lock-in. No mystery cloud.
A short history of the products, customers, and decisions that shaped Velonics One.
Single-tank residential controller on an ESP8266. Hand-soldered prototype. Inline pump relay. A janky web page on a Pi. The customer is still on our books.
Migration from custom Node-RED broker to managed MQTT. Sub-second telemetry latency becomes the standard. v1.0 firmware contract locked.
3-phase controller for irrigation. Phase-sequence detection added. First commercial deployment with an agri co-operative in Karnataka.
Energy metering integration. Per-appliance energy logging. Velonics One PWA becomes the unified surface across water and energy devices.
Crossed a thousand active deployments across 22 states. Median uptime 99.94%. SLA contracts begin.
Group-based device organisation, shared operator access, OTA pipeline graduated to staged rollouts. RO and occupancy sensors enter pilot.
Distributor, integrator, customer, or candidate — we read every message.
